Smith Hollow and Brown Mountian Hollow March 25th, 2023

This hike I really messed up.  I took my friends to the totally different place and we hiked and hiked and then we realized that we were not in the right spot.  We saw lots of cool stuff and had a great time but I need to study up a whole lot better before I take anyone else out on an off trail hike.  

This is what I thought was Brown Mountain Hollow but it is NOT!  I think I found it so we need to go back in the winter and see if I have found the correct location.

Huge Shag Bark

An old foundation.  We also found a grave.  The man was buried in 2017

Carla loves to climb in trees but she couldn't this one since it was too small.  I suggested she prop her phone up in the tree and it would look like she was in the tree!! LOL

Boulder Field at Smith Hollow.   Rhonda and Marilyn found the Fairy Pond and the huge hollow.  The rest of us went the wrong way.
