Pennix Pocket Mammoth Cave Dec 2023 With Lois Young

I hiked this area with Harry and was very uneasy that I might get Lois and I lost. We tied pieces of fabric to trees and a yellow Dollar General Bag at the creek intersection to make sure we would get back safe.  It was a tough hike because there was so much blowdown after a bad storm had gone through.  We did it thought and I was so thrilled.

This log is where you start heading down along the washout.  You hike ten minutes down Wet Prong Trail and then take a left and go down, down, down.

                    This was a very drizzly hike in the woods but we still enjoyed it very much.
