Group Hike to Jeffrey's Cliffs in Hancock County March 2020

 This place is amazing!!!  It's wonderful that it's close to home.  We got a private tour before the area was opened to the public.

This was our second group hike and by the end of this hike I thought I was pretty much in trouble if they were going to hike at this pace every time we went out.  I asked Jim Sullivan if he would lead the group and he took off at such a pace some couldn't even keep up.  Me included.

There were others that came but didn't make it in time for the group hike.  Afterwards we went and had lunch down along the river in Henderson.  

 

We Made it in the Paper

 When the Messenger got word that there was a new hiking group in town they contacted me to see if I would sit for an interview.  We met at The Creme, had hot chocolate and talked for about an hour.  After the article ran in the paper the group membership skyrocketed from about 12 of us to over 200 members.

 The women in the center of this phot become quite the thorn in my side as the months went by.  When the pandemic hit she started sending me conspiracy theories through Messenger.  I nicely asked her to stop so she unfriended me.  She is still in our group and still stirs the pot politically from time to time.
